My new old kitchen

Standard

I didn’t even clean off my counters for this new picture, but that would have been too staged anyway. Before and after–new appliances but same everything else, plus paint and silver hardware. I finished the curtains at 2 a.m!

  1. Nada the kitchen looks GREAT! I want to paint my cabinets white too…I wanted to ask you what kinda prep work did you have to do to the cabinets? Did you have to sand each one? I’d really like to do this and change all the hardware I know it would make my kitchen look like night and day as well. I’d love to paint them, get a new counter top and replace my flooring, just not sure how much that would cost me 😦 Josh and I have thought about doing butcher block as the counter top in like a dark cherry wood on the white I thought that would look nice πŸ™‚ Just wanted to see how much work was actually involved in painting the cabinets πŸ™‚ It looks great!

  2. Thanks Ricole! Yes, we took down, degreased/cleaned, sanded and primed each cabinet door before we pained it. It’s a pretty big job, but it was just me and my mom and we were also trying to watch the kids. It’s do-able, but it is a lot of work. We had to buy Worth a toy drill so he could be like me, taking down and rehanging the cabinets. πŸ™‚
